Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania and the second largest city in the Baltic countries. It’s Old Town is famous for it’s architecture and was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. There is a large number of churches in the Old Town and they are often crowded with tourists.
“Vilnius” is a card set for a tourist, who would surely visit a church, but – probably wouldn’t notice these exclusive objects – offering boxes.
In this project the offering box stands as an object of visual anthropology. Collecting material included practice in church shooting. The final form of the project’s presentation refers (in size, packaging and typeface) to the card series that were popular in Lithuania (and other countries too) in the times of the Soviet Union.
